Youth Ready Chicago

Youth Ready Chicago connects young people, ages 14 to 21, with internships, apprenticeships and jobs within Chicago’s public and private business sectors. Each opportunity offers youth hands-on experience and an opportunity to gain marketable skills, supporting a successful transition from school into the workforce.

 


After School Matters

After School Matters

After School Matters is a non-profit organization that offers Chicago teens innovative out-of-school activities through science37, sports37, tech37, words37 and the nationally recognized gallery37 programs. After School Matters provides these programs through a network of public and private partnerships that include the City of Chicago, Chicago Public Schools, Chicago Park District, Chicago Public Library and community-based organizations. Chicago Department of Family and Support Services

The Chicago Department of Family and Support Services is dedicated to supporting a continuum of coordinated services to enhance the lives of Chicago residents, particularly those most in need, from birth through the senior years. The department works to promote the independence and well-being of individuals, support families and strengthen neighborhoods by providing direct assistance and administering resources to a network of community-based organizations, social service providers and institutions. The department’s Youth Services division focuses primarily on the development of quality, accessible out-of-school time programs and employment opportunities for Chicago’s young people. Chicago Park District

Chicago Park District

The Chicago Park District oversees more than 7,600 acres of parkland, 570 parks, 26 miles of lakefront, 10 museums, two world-class conservatories, 16 historic lagoons, nearly 50 natural areas, and presents thousands of special events, sports and entertaining programs. The Chicago Park District strives to remove architectural barriers and create parks that are open and accessible to everyone. The agency is dedicated to providing opportunities for residents of all ages to become active. As the environmental stewards, many green practices have been implemented into operations. Connected to the community, the park district partners with elected officials, advisory councils, corporations and organizations that understand why investing in parks is critical to quality of life. Chicago Public Schools

Chicago Public Schools

Chicago Housing Authority

CHA is the largest owner of rental housing in the city of Chicago, providing homes to more than 50,000 families and individuals, while supporting healthy communities in neighborhoods all across the city. CHA has almost 9,500 apartments in buildings designated for seniors and more than 7,000 units of family housing.
